Shaku Yumiko injured while on location shooting for a NHK programme
Shaku Yumiko suffered a fracture to her leg while on location shooting at Niigata for a NHK programme on 5 January. She was scheduled to film scenes of attempting to do back country skiing for the programme "Shuutoken Special Yukiyama e GO! 2013 Tatsujin to Tanoshimu Fuyu no Meiho" but being a first-timer, Shaku fell down in the deep snow and suffered an injury which is expected to take two months to recover from. As a result, her left leg is now in a cast and she can't walk without crutches but her agency has confirmed that Shaku wants to continue working. Shaku also apologised for any inconveniences caused by her carelessness and injury.
