Nakamori Akina is reportedly dating a Shinto priest in his 40s from a famous shrine in Tokyo and the couple are said to have been dating since 2010 after being introduced by mutual friends at a Korean restaurant. Although they had planned to get married in the autumn of 2013, Nakamori's health condition at that time forced them to postpone the wedding. However, once she recovers, they are expected to hold their wedding within 2014.
Nakamori's last public appearance was on 13 July 2010 which was also her birthday when she took part at a pachinko event. Following that, she announced in October of the same year that she was suspending her work activities due to poor health. Although she was said to be on the road of recovery, things took a turn for the worse in summer this year thus delaying their wedding plans for autumn.
