The launch event to mark the start of the promotional campaign for new movie "Kenchou Omotenashika" was held on 3 March which was attended by its leads Nishikido Ryo, Horikita Maki and Funakoshi Eiichiro in Kochi City where the movie is set. The film is scheduled to be screened in cinemas from 11 May. The trio appeared at the Sunday market held near Kochi Castle which consists of 420 shops along a 1.3km route where they greeted about 1,000 locals and tourists.
The movie features the hospitality section in the Kochi Prefectural Government office which aims to boost tourism in the area and stars Nishikido as a newbie who works hard to achieve this. Filming was done in Kochi between September and October last year on location inside the prefectural government's office. Until the movie is screened in May, the trio will embark on a promotional campaign spanning 20 cities from Sapporo to Nagasaki. The movie's theme song "Koko ni shikanai keishiki" sung by Kanjani 8 will be released on 24 April.
