The filming of drama SP "Rich Man, Poor Woman in New York" was recently done in New York where photos of the leads Oguri Shun and Ishihara Satomi were released to the press on 8 March. The drama SP which is due to be shown at 9pm on 1 April, continues from the drama series shown last summer where Hyuga Toru (Oguri) and Natsui Makoto (Ishihara Satomi) decide to maintain a long-distance relationship as Makoto is posted to Brazil after getting a job at a pharmaceutical company. The drama SP begins from their reunion at NY Times Square after one year and nine months and describes what happened during the period of them being apart from each other.
Oguri commented that he was glad to be able to play Hyuga Toru again and hoped that the drama SP will meet the viewers' expectations. As for Ishihara, she hopes to show viewers a Makoto who has grown up and become independent and said that the script was very interesting and viewers should be looking forward to the SP.
