Koura Kengo and Ono Machiko will be working together for the first time in the new movie "Kimi wa Iiko" (You are a good child) which is due to be shown next year. The movie is based on the Tsubota Joji Literature Award winning novel by Nakawaki Hatsue which talks about child abuse from various viewpoints.
Koura plays a newbie teacher Okano in a primary school who is troubled over how to handle problems such as bullying and domestic violence affecting his students and tries to extend a helping hand to them. On the other hand, Ono plays Masami, a mother who has a three-year-old daughter and cannot stop herself from hurting her own child. In contrast to when she played a similar role in the 2010 NTV drama "Mother", the character this time will have her past and problems described in detail within the movie. As their stories will be parallel of each other, they will have limited screentime together.
Filming is due to begin at the end of this month in Otaru, Hokkaido.
