I was wondering why "Hansaki Mai" was getting such good ratings because it seems like just an average drama to me. I guess a lot of those viewers are people that watched "Gochisousan" and wanted to see Anne in something else.
Hi gaijin mark, another reason said to be why "Hanasaki Mai" became the highest rated drama this season was that it was based on a novel by Ikeido Jun, the same author who wrote the Hanzawa Naoki series. Maybe it's the lingering interest in Ikeido's works that also contributed to its ratings success.
