Iura Arata was named as the cultural ambassador of Kyoto National Museum on 7 April during a certificate presentation ceremony held at the museum. Iura who is known for his talent and expertise in Japanese traditional art and craft, commented that he hopes to help everyone enjoy the beauty of Japanese art through his appointment and remarked that he used to travel to various spots in Japan with his father to look at heritage sites and traditional art and craft. Iura said that he's still learning about art and culture now so he hopes to use his knowledge in this role. After the ceremony, Iura attended the tea ceremony and took a tour of the special exhibition at the museum.
