The final open rehearsal for stage play "Ki no Ue no Guntai" was held on 4 April at Shibuya Theatre Cocoon which was attended by lead cast members Fujiwara Tatsuya, Yamanishi Atsushi and Katahira Nagisa. The first performance of the play will be held on 5 April at the same venue. The play is based on a true story where some Japanese soldiers located on Iejima in Okinawa Prefecture who were unaware of the end of WWII, lived for two years on a ficus microcarpa tree. As such, the cast has to act while being on a tree set mounted at a 35-degree slant. Fujiwara remarked that he had been to Iejima before for the filming of a movie and actually saw the tree where the soldiers lived on so he could imagine how tough those two years would have been.
