Actress cum model Kawahara Ayako who announced her retirement from showbiz in September last year, has married FujiTV drama producer Sekiguchi Daisuke as reported on 6 October. According to insiders, the couple had met on the set of FujiTV drama "TOKYO Control" shown during January to May 2011 and became an item during the filming. They had tried to submit their marriage application this August but was rejected due to insufficient documents before they managed to file the application again successfully at the end of September.
Kawahara made her modeling debut in 1987 and became an actress in 1989. As for Sekiguchi, he was the producer for recently concluded summer drama "Rich Man, Poor Woman" and is in charge of Fukada Kyoko's new autumn drama "TOKYO Airport ~ Tokyo Kuukou Kansei Hoanbu". This is the first marriage for Kawahara and the second for Sekiguchi.
