Sakai Masato will be starring in FujiTV spring drama "Legal High" which is due to be shown from April in the Tuesday 9pm slot. This will be the first time Sakai is playing a lawyer. Filming is scheduled to begin in early March.
The drama's scriptwriter is Furusawa Ryota who is well-known for the movie "ALWAYS 3chome no Yuuhi". Sakai plays a lawyer Komikado Kensuke who graduated from a third-rate university and opened his law firm after passing the bar exams. His character is an arrogant man who always makes sarcastic remarks, is eccentric, thinks nothing about wasting things or resources and has a strong liking for money, fame and women. However, Mikado is well-known for his motto of going all out for the sake of his client and boasts of a 100% success rate in his lawsuits. As a result, he has the worst reputation in the legal industry and is at loggerheads with Mayuzumi Machiko (Aragaki Yui), a fellow lawyer who's very serious about her work.
Co-stars also include Satomi Kotaro and Namase Katsuhisa.
