Sorry for the late reply, Sal. I didn't notice your comment until today.
Amami Yuki plays the owner of a large sports gym and beauty salon chain who aspires to nurture her four children into Olympic gold medalists. She had married a wrestling gold medalist in order to make up for the lack of sporting genes in herself but separated from her husband once she had given birth to her children. Despite her busy schedule, she tries to balance work and family matters and insists on cooking and cleaning the house on her own. She trains her eldest son in swimming, her second son in athletics, her daughter in high jump so that they can qualify for the London Olympics.
The outline of the story seems really unusual. And Nojima Shinji showed that he hasn't lost his edge after I watched Love Shuffle. With Amami Yuki at the helm, I'm pretty assured that we can see some good acting provided the script doesn't go awry.
i'm watching this now but i still stuck in episode 3 since i need subs. to tell you the truth, i still can't get the logical reason why that gold medal's such a big deal for a family and the story isn't really amused me. yet i amazed by amami yuki's character here, especially her life interpretations (about love, money, friend, etc) and her dialogue exchanges with nagasawa masami. masami's cutesy is somehow refreshing this time and i'm anticipating her to be a candidate (or a winner) of best supporting actress this summer.
