The wins for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor made more sense than the ones for the actresses. Probably should get round to watching Theseus no Fune.

Well, I haven't watched any of the Winter dramas except for Shiranakute ii koto and am halfway through Top Knife so I can't really comment. However, I have heard a lot of good things about Theseus no Fune though so might check it out one day. As for Koitsuzu, I know many people have gone gaga over Sato Takeru's role but the story just doesn't entice me. I just felt a bit sad that Toda Erika didn't win for her role in Scarlet. Although I didn't watch the whole thing back to back, I thought she was pretty good in the episodes which I managed to catch.

I enjoyed Shiranakute Ii Koto, to my surprise. The newsroom setting really resonated with me more than anything, and Sasaki Kuranosuke was fantastic. Top Knife is not bad, very good cast, but not a groundbreaking medical drama by any means.

I'm surprised Toda Erika didn't win, the asadora actresses usually do. The judges' ranking seems to be a much better reflection of the quality of the dramas for the winter season, though frankly I wouldn't put Kamishiraishi anywhere near the top 20.
