Aoi Wakana and Sano Hayato will be starring in the new real-life adaptation movie "Ao-Natsu" which is based on the same-titled manga by Nanba Atsuko. The two of them last worked together three years ago in the 2015 movie "Kuchibiru ni uta wo" starring Aragaki Yui.
The story describes how Rio (Aoi) who has been raised in the city, spends her summer holidays in the countryside and meets Ginzo (Sano), a handsome and cool guy where they fall in love with each other. Aoi praised her co-star for looking exactly like Ginzo in the manga and said that it was fun to work together again. Sano also echoed her view and said that filming in the beautiful nature made it easier for them to immerse themselves into the story.
Furuhata Seika plays Rio's rival in love Marika while Kizu Takumi plays Yuma, a senior high school student in Tokyo who is in love with Rio. Other co-stars include popular models Kumada Rinka and Akita Shiori, voice actor Mizuishi Atomu who played Al in the real-life adaptation movie of "Hagane no Renkin Jutsushi" and Shimura Reo from dance-vocal unit SUPER★DRAGON.
Filming was done between early April and early May. The movie will be shown in cinemas from 1 August.
