NHK Sendai will be showing a drama SP titled "Katsuo" which features a cast of actors whose hometowns are in the Tohoku region which was hit badly when the March 11 earthquake and tsunami hit in 2011. The drama SP which will be shown on 18 December at 7.30pm, features Otomo Kohei from Miyagi Prefecture as a former fisherman whose wife (Suzuki Kyoka) disappeared during the crisis and he subsequently left the seaside area with his son and daughter to work at at a construction site. With the appearance of a mysterious woman played by Ashina Sei, his family goes through a series of changes. Otomo's son will be played by Minegishi Yuki who currently lives in Sendai while Umezawa Tomio from Sandwich Man and whose hometown is in Fukushima Prefecture, will be playing Otomo's friend from the same city. Filming begins on 6 October at Ishinomaki City and various seaside areas in Miyagi Prefecture as well as at temporary residences and market streets which have resumed business.
