The first-day-screening event of "Gekijouban SPEC Close" was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on 1 November which was attended by the cast members Toda Erika, Kase Ryo, Ryu Raita, Mukai Osamu, Oshima Yuko and the director Tsutsumi Yukihiko. The cast were asked to write a Kanji character each to represent their thoughts about the end of the SPEC series. Toda wrote the word "Shuu" (End) which represented the end of the series and the first stage of her career. She related that she was having second thoughts about her acting career just before she took on the role of Toma Saya and she was glad to have done so because it made her become more focused in her acting career and found new motivation to move on to the next stage of her career, As such, she regards "SPEC" as her signature work and a very important thing to her. As for Kase, he chose the word "Han" (Half) to represent his feelings of half-sadness that the series is ending but at the same time, he's happy to have wrapped things up.
The 2-part SPEC movies will be shown in 290 cinemas nationwide with Part 1 starting on 1 Nov and Part 2 from 29 November.
