Actor Funakoshi Eiichiro's wife Matsui Kazuyo revealed on her blog on 26 April that her husband had left home since a heated argument on 23 March. According to Matsui, the couple were quarelling that morning and she beat him up until he fell down at the house's entrance. Soon after, Matsui left home for work and returned the next morning to find her husband's belongings missing from the house.
Matsui admitted that they had all along been in such heated arguments for the past 11 years since they got married but this is the first time Funakoshi has left home without a word. However, she mentioned in her blog post that she's wondering if Sawajiri Erika is the reason why her husband left.
Funakoshi and Sawajiri worked together on the TBS drama SP "Akujo ni tsuite" due to be shown on 30 April since mid March where he plays a man being manipulated by Sawajiri's character. As such, there were intimate scenes between them but Matsui was angry that Funakoshi did not tell her beforehand and it escalated into the heated argument on 23 March.
When contacted by the reporter on the status, Matsui admitted that she had managed to get in touch with her husband who is filming in Kyoto but he still hasn't returned home.

Somehow, this feels like a promotional gimmick for "Akujo ni tsuite". Funakoshi might have really left home after an argument but I think the way the story is crafted, it seems to be emphasizing on Sawajiri's image as a dangerous and evil woman in the drama SP. Moreover, I don't seem to see this story in other sources so it does seem rather suspicious.
