Sasaki Nozomi, Natsuna, Nakagawa Shoko & Tokunaga Eri to star in new NHK drama "Daisy Luck"

Sasaki Nozomi, Natsuna, Nakagawa Shoko and Tokunaga Eri will be starring in the new NHK drama "Daisy Luck" which will begin its run from 20 April in the Fridays 10pm timeslot. The drama which consists of 10 episodes, is based on the manga by Umino Tsunami and describes the daily lives of four childhood friends who are about to become 30 years old.

Kaede (Sasaki), Kaoru (Natsuna), Michiru (Nakagawa) and Emi (Tokunaga) who used to be part of the Hinagiku-kai when they were kids, reunites for the first time in a long while at Emi's wedding ceremony. However, that day turns out to be disastrous for Kaede because the company she has been working at goes under and her boyfriend dumps her. This makes Kaede resolve to become a baker as this was her childhood dream but things do not go as she expects even though she manages to get a job at the local bakery. Kaeda also has to handle the tough training and demand under her senior Aki. Meanwhile, Kaoru works at a high class beauty salon while Michiru struggles to make ends meet as a bag maker.

Sasaki described her character as someone who starts off with nothing in the beginning of the story which is bound to resonate with many people for its realistic take on the situation facing people in the same age group. She is excited to find out how the four characters will develop in the drama and pledged to work hard in playing her character.
