Completion screening event of new movie "honey"

The completion screening event of new movie "honey" was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on 21 February 2018 which was attended by the director Shintoku Koji and cast members Hirano Sho, Taira Yuna, Yokohama Ryuusei, Mizutani Kaho, Asakawa Rina, Sano Gaku and Takahashi Yu. The movie will be screened in cinemas from 31 March 2018.

The story which is based on the same-titled manga by Meguro Amu, features Hirano as the lead character Onise Taiga who behaves like an delinquent but has a pure personality. One day, he is approached by Kogure Nao (Taira) who is afraid of Onise's reputation but asks to date him with marriage in mind. Onise is unable to reject her and has no choice but to accept her "proposal" which marks the beginning of a sweet and unlikely love story between them.

Hirano who marks his first leading role in a movie through this film, commented that this work meant a lot to him and had put in his best effort so he hoped that the movie will do well. Sano apologised for "beating up" Hirano really badly in the movie which led the latter to comment that that scene was done on the first day of the filming. Nonetheless, Hirano sought advice from Sano who has experience doing action scenes so they managed to get the fighting scene done nicely in the end.

Taira who cut and dyed her hair for this movie, talked about how tough the filming was especially since her character was the exact opposite of her real personality. As such, she had to seek advice from the director on how to portray the changes in her character after the latter meets Onise.
