Mano Erina & Yokohama Ryuusei to star in new dTV drama "Kareshi wo loan de kaimashita" written by Nojima Shinji

Mano Erina and Yokohama Ryuusei will be starring in the new dTV drama series "Kareshi wo loan de kaimashita" (I bought my boyfriend with a loan) which was written by Nojima Shinji and will begin its run from 9 March. There will be a total of 8 episodes which will be updated on dTV and FOD on Fridays and Mondays.

Mano plays Ukishima Tae, a receptionist working at a large multinational trading company and has the dream of becoming a full-time housewife. In order to achieve this goal, she pretends to be a perfect woman in front of her perfect boyfriend Junpei and hides her true thoughts. However, when she discovers that Junpei is cheating on her, Tae decides to "buy" a boyfriend for the sake of releasing her pent-up frustrations that cannot be shown to Junpei and show her true self but this will come at the cost of monthly loan payments of 39,800 yen. Yokohama will play Setsuna Jun who is the boyfriend "bought" by Tae.

Nojima commented on the tendency for women to put on an act in front of the man they love as something stemming from the desire not to get disliked by him. As such, if they change or revert to their true selves during the course of the relationship, it would be seen as similar to a breach of contract so men would probably want them to keep up with the act until the day they die.

Mano who had worked with Nojima before in the stage play "Usani" 6 years ago, said that she was very happy to be working with him again. Although she felt the pressure of being the lead and the huge amount of lines, she tried her best to rise up to the challenge and was especially amazed by how much Nojima knew about women and what they talk about among themselves. As for Yokohama, he said that the setting of the drama was rather fantastical but interesting at the same time and he learnt about the true thoughts of women through the lead character Tae. He hoped to play Jun in such a way that the viewers would desire to have a boyfriend like him although in actual fact, Jun is taking on such a job for the sake of repaying his debts.
