First-day-screening event of new movie "Uso Happyaku"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Uso Happyaku" was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on 6 January which was attended by the director Take Masaharu and cast members Nakai Kiichi, Sasaki Kuranosuke, Tomochika and Morikawa Aoi. In line with the theme of "makka na uso", the cast were asked to wear red which led to Nakai and Sasaki wearing red turtleneck shirts coincidentally. After the cast greeted the audience with "happy new year", Nakai started joking that they never meant to make the movie into a comedy while Sasaki joined in to say that they intended to make a serious suspense story but was glad that their movie made the audience laugh.

Nakai was full of praise for Morikawa who played his daughter in the movie while Tomochika who played Sasaki's wife in the movie, expressed her wish that she hoped that they could continue to be a married couple in real life. However, Sasaki "complained" that Maeno Tomoya who played his son, is actually 31 years ago so he found it difficult to see the latter as his son even after the filming had ended. As the movie was completed in just 16 days, it was a tough filming schedule especially for the actors in their 70s and 80s but Nakai said that it was fun to spend time with them under the direction of Take. Sasaki then said that he might not have been able to last throughout the tough filming if it took more than 16 days.

At the end of the event, the host asked the cast to make a new year resolution based on lies. Nakai deliberated for a while before he made the audience laugh by saying that he wants to give birth to a baby this year. Sasaki was stumped for an answer and followed up by saying that he wants to attend the Coming of Age event this year even though he was clearly way over 20 years old. Tomochika then declared that she wanted to enter University of Tokyo while Morikawa said that she wanted to become a handsome actor who can lead the industry.
