Hirose Arisu and her younger sister Suzu updated their respective Twitter accounts on 17 January in response to their elder brother Oishi Kouya who was arrested on 15 January for alleged drink driving in Shizuoka Prefecture. In Arisu's tweet, she apologised for the concern and inconvenience caused to everyone due to her brother's case and pledged to continue working hard for the filming of NHK morning drama "Warotenka" as usual. Suzu also posted a similar apology tweet and stated that she will focus on her work and do her best.
Oishi had crashed into another car when using his smartphone while driving at 3.20am that day so the police made him take a breathalyzer test where he was found to have an alcohol content in his blood higher than the stipulated standard. Oishi is also under investigation for causing injury to the driver of the other car who had hurt his neck due to the accident. He denied the allegation and said that he thought that it had been some time since he drank so he felt that he was sober enough to drive.
