Yamada Ryosuke, Haru & Ozawa Yukiyoshi to play siblings in new NTV Winter 2018 drama "Momikeshite Fuyu ~ Wagaya no mondai nakatta koto ni ~"

Yamada Ryosuke will be starring in the new NTV Winter 2018 drama "Momikeshite Fuyu ~ Wagaya no mondai nakatta koto ni ~" (The winter of cover-ups ~ Solving our family problems ~) which will begin its run from January in the Saturdays 10pm timeslot. In this original comedy, Yamada plays 25-year-old Kitazawa Shusaku, an outstanding police officer who graduated from University of Todai and works at the Metropolitan Police Department's Administrative Services Bureau which is filled with many talented aspiring executives. Since he hopes to become the Commissioner one day, Shusaku tries hard to prepare for his promotion exam in order to get ahead. He has two elder siblings i.e. 27-year-old sister Chiaki (Haru) who is a lawyer and 38-year-old Hirofumi (Ozawa) who is a heart surgeon thus making them a family of elites.

One day, the family's peace is disrupted when the siblings find out that their father Taizou (Nakamura Baijaku) who is the principal of a private junior high school, gets into trouble. Taizou had his nude photos taken by a student's mother and is eager to cover this up so as to prevent this from hurting his career and image. The siblings come together to use their intelligence to resolve the issue which if left unattended, will affect the stability of their family.

Yamada commented that this drama is slightly different from conventional dramas about family love so it will be important for the cast and staff to portray the love among the Kitazawa family members. He described his character as someone who has a strong sense of justice but he is actually the weakest member in the family who keeps his feelings to himself. With regard to his co-stars, he had worked with Haru before in the 2014 drama SP "Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Gokumonjuku Satsujin Jiken" and the 2015 movie "Grasshopper" so he is eager to find out how it will be like to have her as his elder sister in this drama. As for Ozawa, Yamada said that although he had never met Ozawa before, he was surprised to find that their looks are quite similar to each other.

As for Haru, she described her character as the brains of the family who has a strong sense of justice and always surprises everyone with her unique thinking. Since the two eldest siblings have such strong characters, this causes the youngest to be somewhat affected by their behaviour. Since the characters in this story are doing serious things with a comedic touch, she is worried whether she will be able to pull this off. However, Haru views this as a challenge and adventure for all of them so she will be eager to find out how the Kitazawa family story will progress.

Ozawa described his character as a famous surgeon who is somewhat odd because he loves his family as much as himself. He hoped that they will be able to show the unusual Kitazawa family with his co-stars and staff and pledged to work hard together. Last but not least, Nakamura who plays the head of the family, described his character as a type who he has hardly played before. Other than Ozawa who he had worked with before, this will be the first time he is working with Haru and Yamada so he is excited to be acting with the three of them who have vastly different characters.
