Supporting cast line-up of new movie "Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun" announced

The supporting cast line-up of new movie "Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun" starring Suda Masaki and Tsuchiya Tao was announced. The movie is based on the same-titled manga by Robico which was serialised in "Gekkan Dessert" between 2008 and 2014 and has sold more than 5 million copies to date.


Suda plays the role of Yoshida Haru who is an unpredictable troublemaker at school while Tsuchiya plays a cold-blooded girl Mizutani Shizuku sitting beside him who's only concerned about doing well in her studies. The both of them who have no friends, become each other's first friend before experiencing a number of firsts in their lives such as first love, first kiss, first quarrel and first love triangle.

Furukawa Yuuki will play Haru's elder brother Yuzan while Yamada Yuki plays Haru's childhood friend Yamaguchi Kenji who later becomes his rival in love. Ikeida Elaiza will play Natsume Asako who has a strong dislike for guys and Hamabe Minami will play Oshima Chizuru who is the representative of the class next to Haru's and takes a liking to him. Sano Gaku will play Sasahara Souhei who is Haru and Shizuku's classmate while Hayami Mokomichi will play Haru's cousin Misawa Mitsuyoshi.

The movie will be released in cinemas from 27 April 2018.
