Nakajima Miyuki to sing the theme song for TV Asahi Spring 2017 drama "Yasuragi no Sato"

Nakajima Miyuki will be singing the theme song for TV Asahi Spring 2017 drama "Yasuragi no Sato" which will begin its run from 3 April in the weekdays 12.30pm timeslot. The song titled Bojou (Affection) was written by Nakajima and is her first drama theme song since "Mugi no Uta" for 2014's NHK morning drama "Massan". The song is expected to be released as a single but the release date has not been decided. As Nakajima had sung the insert song "Hoomu ni te" for Kuramoto Sou's drama series "Kita no kuni kara" in the past, he approached her last spring through the drama's staff to request for a theme song.

Nakajima commented that she was very happy to get the offer but she was worried about what to write at the same time. As such, it felt like a harrowing experience which made her break out in cold sweat as she tried to write the song while doing her regular concerts and had to ask for an extension of the deadline.

The drama is set in an old folks' home named Yasuragi no Sato La Strada where only those who had worked in the TV entertainment industry such as actors, writers, musicians and artists are allowed to live at. Ishizaka Koji plays Kikumura Sakae who used to be a popular scenario writer and lives among the stars of yesterday together at the old folks' home where the problems they face are presented in a humourous manner. At the entrance of the home, the residents display their photos in mourning wear as if they are at a funeral of a fellow actor. Co-stars include Asaoka Ruriko, Arima Ineko, Kaga Mariko, Satsuki Midori, Nogiwa Yoko, Yachigusa Kaoru, Fuji Tatsuya, Mickey Curtis, Yamamoto Kei, Kusakari Tamiyo, Tokiwa Takako, Nadaka Tatsuo, Fubuki Jun and Matsuoka Mayu.
