Narita Ryo to appear in FujiTV Spring 2017 drama "Hito wa mitame ga 100 percent"

Narita Ryo will be appearing in the upcoming FujiTV Spring 2017 drama "Hito wa mitame ga 100 percent" starring Kiritani Mirei which will begin its run from April in the Thursdays 10pm timeslot. The drama which is based on the same-titled manga by Okubo Hiromi, features a group of women working in the scientific field who are so caught up with their work that they forget how it is to pay attention to their attention thus earning them the nickname "Joshi Modoki (JSM)" (fake women). Kiritani plays the lead character Jonouchi Jun who is a researcher working in a paper manufacturing company and has been pouring all her energy into her work that she totally ignores what it means to dress up like a woman and care for her looks. As such, she has had little luck with men all along. However, when she realises that she is in danger of becoming a JSM, she gets together with her fellow female researchers to make an effort in changing their appearances and make themselves more beautiful.

Narita will be playing a handsome hairstylist Sakaki Keiichi who Jonouchi is in love with. Actually, Narita went to a hairstyling school and acquired the relevant license before he entered showbiz so he already has the skills necessary for his attempt at playing a hairstylist. Narita commented that he had always thought that he would like to play a hairstylist one day so he's very excited about being able to do so in this drama. He revealed that he used to have the dream of being a hairstylist but didn't get the chance to work in a salon as he had entered showbiz after graduation so he is eager to play this character to relive the time when he was 18 and aiming to become a hairstylist.
