Battle premiere event of new movie "Mogura no Uta Hong Kong Kyousoukyoku"

The battle premiere event of new movie "Mogura no Uta Hong Kong Kyousoukyoku" was held at Roppongi Hills Arena on 5 December which was attended by the director Miike Takashi and cast members Ikuta Toma, Eita, Honda Tsubasa, Furuta Arata, Nanao, Kamiji Yusuke, Naka Riisa, Tsutsumi Shinichi and Iwaki Koichi. About 600 people gathered for the event as the cast arrived in a specially-made tiger limousine.

The movie is based on the manga by Takahashi Noboru and the script was a joint production by the director and Kudo Kankuro. In this sequel, Ikuta's character Kikukawa Reiji who is a struggling police officer, is sent to become an undercover to eliminate a Chinese mafia in Hong Kong and gets assigned to be the bodyguard of Todoroki Karen (Honda).

During the event, there were a series of "battles" between the cast members who were at odds with one another in the movie. Naka who was the heroine in the previous movie and Honda who is the heroine in the sequel had their guts put to the test when they had to place their faces near a balloon where a toy gun was aimed at it so there was an one-in-six chance that the balloon would burst. In the end, Honda lost the game while Naka said that she felt sorry for Honda even though she had won.

In the next battle, Ikuta and Eita who plays the elite police officer out to arrest Reiji, were made to go through the game of "borrowing items" from the audience. The theme of the game was something related to Hong Kong. Eita managed to find a packet of Hong Kong-made instant noodles Chuqian Yiding but Ikuta found a female fan who came from Hong Kong to see him. When Ikuta was ruled to be the winner and hugged the fan in elation, the audience shrieked which led the other cast members to declare jokingly that Eita should be the winner since Ikuta had gone too far by hugging the fan. Other battles included Nanao vs. Kamiji and Tsutsumi vs. Furuta.

The movie will be shown in cinemas from 23 December.
