First-day-screening event of new movie "Oke Roujin"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Oke Roujin" was held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku on 12 November which was attended by the director Hosokawa Toru and cast members An, Sasano Takashi, Komatsu Masao, Hidari Tonpei, Kayashima Narumi, Sakaguchi Kentaro, Kuroshima Yuina and Hagiwara Riku. The movie features An as a senior high school teacher and violinist who unwittingly becomes the conductor of an amateur orchestra made up of the elderly. As this is An's first leading role in a movie, she recounted that the filming ended around the same time last year and she was filled with gratitude that the movie is finally ready to be seen by everyone now.

Six months before the filming started, An had to learn conducting and how to play the violin.within a short time. Likewise for her senior co-stars, they were under pressure to learn how to play their respective musical instruments e.g. Hidari played the clarinet while Komatsu played the cello. An remarked that as she is considered a greenhorn at 30 years old compared to her co-stars, she said that they have become goals for her to work hard towards in life and work. She also commented that the movie will hopefully be a boost to everyone's spirits this autumn and that they should not fear getting older as time goes by.

When it was Sasano's turn to introduce himself, he deliberately called himself as Sakaguchi Kentaro which led An to tease him that the only similarity between them is the first character of their surname. Sasano also revealed that there was once when he appeared in a movie and by the time the film was released, two of his co-stars were absent i.e. they had passed away. As such, he was very happy to see that everyone made it to the screening. As for Komatsu who was the only one wearing his traditional kimono used during the filming, Hidari jokingly said that Komatsu's fashion sense must be quite bad so he didn't dare to appear in the clothes that he usually wears.
