First-day screening event of new movie "Boku dake ga inai machi"

The first-day screening event of new movie "Boku dake ga inai machi" was held on 19 March which was attended by the cast members Fujiwara Tatsuya, Arimura Kasumi, Oikawa Mitsuhiro, Suzuki Rio, Nakagawa Tsubasa, Ishida Yuriko and the director Hirakawa Yuichiro. The film which is based on the same-titled manga serialised in "Young Ace" since 2012 by Sanbe Kei, features Fujiwara as the lead character Fujinuma Satoru, an aspiring manga artist who experiences a "revival" to the past repeatedly by himself and tries to find the culprit behind a kidnap and murder case which happened whe he was a primary school student.

Arimura commented that her character this time was very difficult to play so she had to discuss with the director frequently on what she had to do. As a result, she felt that it was a joint effort between her and the director that enabled her to finish the filming successfully.

As Fujiwara's character in the movie is an aspiring manga artist, he was asked to draw a portrait of Arimura a few days before the screening event during a promotional interview but the end result was so bad that Arimura could only comment that it was an "unique" drawing. During the screening event, Fujiwara was asked to draw the movie's poster on the spot and laughed at himself for wasting time doing this because his effort turned out to be very different from the original photo.
