Takei Emi to star in TV Asahi Summer 2015 drama "Age Harassment"

Takei Emi will be starring in the TV Asahi Summer 2015 drama "Age Harassment" which will begin its run from July in the Thursdays 9pm timeslot. The drama which is based on the same-titled novel published in 2008 by scriptwriter Uchidate Makiko, will also be her first drama script written in 10 years since 2005 TBS drama "Kegareta Shita".

Takei plays the role of newbie OL Yoshii Emiri who is young, beautiful and fawned over by the male employees in trading company Teito Bussan. However, she does not get sent to the textiles department as she wished and is posted to the general affairs department instead. As a result, she has to wear an uniform and do miscellaneous chores but she goes about her work with enthusiasm. On the other hand, Yoshii sticks out in her department for being unsociable as she is unwilling to have lunch with her seniors and doesn't join them for after-work gatherings. Coupled with the fact that she is seen as one who disrupts the balance in the team and gets unfair advantages because she's pretty, Yoshii becomes the target of bullying by her female seniors at work and tries to fight back in order to survive in the workplace.

Filming begins next month.
