"Wara no Tate" takes part in the 66th Festival de Cannes as a competition film

The movie "Wara no Tate" starring Osawa Takao, Matsushima Nanako and Fujiwara Tatsuya which will be shown in Japan from 26 April, will be taking part in the 66th Festival de Cannes as a competition film as announced on 18 April. The film festival will be held in Cannes, France, between 15th and 26th May. This is the first time that Osawa has a film selected for an overseas film festival so he is very excited about this. As for the director Miike Takashi, this is his second time taking part in this film festival since 2011's "Ichimei". Miike and Osawa will go to Cannes for the film's press conference but as for whether Matsushima will join them, that is undecided yet.
