Hongo Kanata will star in his first leading role for "Real Onigokko THE ORIGIN" which will be shown via TV Saitama, Chiba TV and TV Kanagawa from 9 April at 1am on Tuesdays. The story is based on a novel by Yamada Yusuke which has sold 2 million copies to date and its movie adaptation was also a hit. Hongo plays an university student named Sato Tsubasa who gets caught in a nationwide game where all those whose surname is Sato will be killed if they are caught. As a result, Hongo has to do various action scenes and is careful not to injure himself. Co-stars in this drama include Shimizu Fumika and Yokohama Ryusei.
