Fujiwara Tatsuya & Okada Masaki to star in NTV spring 2013 drama "ST ~ Keishichou Kagaku Tokusouhan"

Fujiwara Tatsuya and Okada Masaki will be working together in the NTV spring 2013 drama "ST ~ Keishichou Kagaku Tokusouhan" (ST ~ Metropolitan Police Department Special Scientific Investigation Section" which will begin its run from 10 April at 9pm. The drama is based on the novel by Konno Bin which features a group of scientific investigators under the MPD who search for criminals just like an ordinary police officer. Fujiwara plays the role of Akagi Samon who is regarded as a leader in the ST section but keeps to himself after the trauma of a particular incident. On the other hand, Okada plays the role of Yurine Tomohisa who is told to take charge of ST despite being unable to withstand stress and had a pretty smooth-sailing elite progression till then. The two of them who are exact opposites, experience clashes at work but ends up with ingenious ideas to solve their cases as a result.

This is the first time that Fujiwara and Okada are working together. Fujiwara commented that he had wanted to work with Okada for a long time so this drama proves to be the perfect opportunity to realise his wish. He  also hoped that the contrasting characters they play will complement each other's weaknesses and that they can build up a strong trust relationship. As for Okada, he was hooked when he read the script and had wanted to play the role of Yurine. He also commented that he is thrilled to be working with Fujiwara.

Co-stars in this drama include Shida Mirai, Ashina Sei, Kubota Masataka, Miyake Hiroki, Hayashi Kento, Tanaka Tetsushi and Watabe Atsuro.
