First-episode-screening of "Kamisama no Boat"

The first-episode-screening of NHK's new drama SP "Kamisama no Boat" was held on 5 March at the TV station's Shibuya HQ which was attended by the lead cast members Miyazawa Rie and Fujiki Naohito. The drama SP is based on Ekuni Kaori's novel about a married woman Yoko (Miyazawa) who falls in love with Sawaki played by Fujiki and will be shown over three weeks on 10th, 17th and 24th March at 10pm. This is Miyazawa's first leading role in a drama in 14 years and she commented that it was a challenge because there were very few lines in the drama for her to convey her character's feelings. When asked about her favourite scene, Miyazawa said that her intimate scene with Fujiki was memorable because Yoko had agonised over whether to go with her feelings for Sawaki despite her marital status. Fujiki also commented that he was nervous to act in a romance drama with Miyazawa so he depended on her to take the lead.
