This is going to be a detective drama. However, this is going to be different from most police dramas where a case is solved every episode. Sakai Masato plays a mild-tempered police detective who transforms into a dark hero at night to kill hardcore criminals. This is so-called his way of punishing those who cannot be punished by the law. Nishikido plays a forensic expert while Anne plays Sakai's newbie partner. Ryou plays Sakai's ex-girlfriend who is a journalist.
It does sound interesting and I like the cast so that's why I'm featuring it here. Hope to see this soon!
Wow, Batman-ish! Taking the law into his own hands, eh? Thanks for the explanation!
By the way, did you watch Shinzan Mono in the last drama season, starring Hiroshi Abe? I am not usually drawn to detective dramas, but this one was really well written. I liked the format of solving one crime throughout the entire drama, but eliminating suspects week by week. It really kept us guessing! If you never watched it, I recommend it, as a veteran drama enthusiast. Abe was great as the experienced "new-comer" who solves the case.
I think Sakai Masato is perfect for roles who are both kind and evil. He just exudes that mysterious feel of being hard to fathom so I'm really looking forward to this drama.
I'm in the midst of watching Shinzanmono and am enjoying it so far. I can't wait to find out who's the real killer at the end!
Hey Chiaki!
ReplyDeleteAny idea what the plot is like??
