Screening event & press conference of new NHK dramas "Thrill! ~ Aka no Shou / Kuro no Shou ~"

The screening event and press conference of new NHK dramas "Thrill ~ Aka no Shou / Kuro no Shou" (Aka no Shou Keishicho Shomugakari Hitomi no Jikenbo / Kuro no Shou Bengoshi Shirai Shinnosuke no Daisainan) was held on 6 February which was attended by the main cast members Komatsu Nana, Yamamoto Koji and Koide Keisuke. The dramas which are written by Makita Mitsuharu, marks the first synchronised drama between the NHK general and BS channels. "Aka no Shou" starring Komatsu consists of 4 episodes and will begin its run on the general channel from 22 February in the Wednesdays 10.25pm timeslot while "Kuro no Shou" starring Yamamoto also consists of 4 episodes and begins its run on the BS channel from 26 February in the Sundays 10pm timeslot.

For Komatsu, this is her first leading role in a drama so she was very happy when she first got the offer. As this is a detective drama, she had to memorise many lines so it was tough during the filming. However, she was thankful for the support from the people around her which allowed her to cope with the challenge. Usually, detective dramas tend to have a dark and gloomy image but this drama tries to explain things in a simple manner and allows viewers to think along as the story progresses. Komatsu also revealed that she had come to realise the good points of a drama through this production as she had worked mainly on movies to date.
