Supporting cast lineup of FujiTV Winter 2017 drama "Kirawareru Yuuki" announced

The supporting cast lineup of FujiTV Winter 2017 drama "Kirawareru Yuuki" was announced. The detective drama which will begin its run from 12 January in the Thursdays 10pm timeslot, is based loosely on the bestseller series by psychotherapist Alfred Adler which had sold more than 1.8 million copies to date and features Karina as the lead character Andou Ranko who is a 32-year-old single police detective. Although she is very capable at her job and has solved many difficult cases to date, she can't get used to the organisation structure and is a loner who doesn't listen to others' advice and does things the way she wants to. Due to her attitude, she becomes disliked by her colleagues in the police force which is predominantly made up of men. NEWS member Kato Shigeaki plays Aoyama Toshio, Ranko's new partner transferred to her department and is the exact opposite of her because he cares too much about other people's opinions and tries hard not to be disliked by others. He dislikes Ranko immensely due to her wilful behaviour. Shiina Kippei plays the role of Daimonji Tetsuto who is a psychology professor who tells Aoyama about the existence of Adler's psychology theories thus helping him to understand how to co-exist with Ranko.

Sagara Itsuki will play Soma Meiko who is an assistant professor in pathology at Teito University and gets into arguments with Ranko whenever they have differences over the autopsy tests she conducts at the request of the police. Masu Takeshi plays Handa Yosuke who is constantly troubled by Ranko's unconventional way of doing things. Handa's subordinate Komiya Masaaki who is most concerned about promotions will be played by Totsugi Shigeyuki while Maruyama Tomomi will be playing Urabe Yoshitaka who is skilled in martial arts and always make mistakes in his deduction of the cases. Sakurada Dori will be playing a quiet police detective Miyake Takatoshi who is concerned about searching for case information via digital means. Masana Bokuzo will be Kaji Junnosuke who looks on Ranko favourably and is the chief forensics officer and Okazaki Sae will be Murakami Yukina who adores Ranko as her idol and works in the forensics department. Iitoyo Marie will be playing Karima Michiko who is Daimonji's assistant and Juudai Satoshi will be playing Hijikata Toshiro who is an assistant professor in psychology in Teito University.
