Chiba Yuudai to appear in new movie "Ankoku Joshi" as a senior high school teacher

Chiba Yuudai will be appearing in the new movie "Ankoku Joshi" starring Shimizu Fumika and Iitoyo Marie which will be shown in cinemas from 1 April 2017. The movie which is the real-life adaptation of the 2013 same-titled mystery novel by Akiyoshi Rikako, talks about how Shiraishi Itsumi (Iitoyo) the Madonna of an all-girls' senior high school fell to her death under mysterious circumstances with a lily bell flower in her hand which leads to suspicion falling on the five members of the literature club which Shiraishi set up for having caused her death. After taking over the reins, Sumikawa Sayuri (Shimizu) who is Shiraishi's best friend, organises a regular reading session where she engages the rest of the members to talk about Shiraishi's death and the five of them take turns to expose who is the true culprit by mixing lies and truth during the discussion. Co-stars include Seino Nana, Tamashiro Tina, Kojima Riria and Taira Yuna.

Chiba plays the role of Hojo, the only male character at the senior high school who is the adviser of the literature club. When asked to comment about his character, Chiba commented that as he used to be from a boys' school, it was a fresh feeling for him to be in a girls' school but the girls who appear chummy with one another actually aren't on such good terms after all so he feels like their world feels quite scary to him. As for Hojo, although he looks prim and proper on the surface, he actually has a secret which is closely related to the girls so he hopes to show the double sides of his character in the movie.
