Yamazaki Kento star in the real-life adaptation movie of "Jojo no kimyou na bouken"

The press conference for the real-life adaptation movie of popular manga "Jojo no kimyou na bouken" (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) by Araki Hirohiko was held on 28 September which was attended by the director Miike Takashi and cast members Yamazaki Kento, Kamiki Ryuunosuke, Komatsu Nana, Mackenyu, Okada Masaki, Yamada Takayuki and Iseya Yuusuke. The movie will be based on the fourth story i.e. "Diamond wa kudakenai" (The diamond is unbreakable) and set in Japan. Yamazaki will be playing the lead character Higashikata Jousuke in this movie made by Toho and Warner Brothers Japan which will be shown during summer 2017. "Jojo no kimyou na bouken" was first serialised in "Shuukan Shounen Jump" from 1987 and has released 117 volumes which sold more than 90 million copies to date. It is still being published in "Ultra Jump" now. The manga's author Araki commented that he was proud to see that his work is made into a movie which would probably have been impossible 10 years ago due to the technology then and is looking forward to seeing how the final product will turn out.

Kamiki will be playing the character Hirose Kouichi while Komatsu will be playing Yamagishi Yukako. Okada plays the role of Nijimura Keichou and Mackenyu plays Nijimura Okuyasu. As for Yamada and Iseya, they will be playing Katagiri Anjuurou and Kujou Joutarou respectively. Jousuke's mother will be played by Mizuki Arisa while Kunimura Jun will play his grandfather.

Before the press conference, the cast had already been to Spain for filming on a very tight schedule. The movie's title will be "Jojo no kimyou na bouken Diamond wa kudakenai Daiissho".
