Kuroki Haru to star in TBS Spring 2016 drama "Juuhan Shuttai"

Kuroki Haru will be taking on her first leading role in a drama series when she appears in the upcoming TBS Spring 2016 drama "Juuhan Shuttai" which will begin its run from April in the Tuesdays 10pm timeslot. The title of the drama is a jargon term used in the publishing business which means a reprint due to great reviews. The drama which is based on the same-titled manga by Matsuda Naoko currently being serialised in "Gekkan! Spirits", features Kuroki as Kurosawa Kokoro, a former national judo athlete who gave up her dream of taking part in the Olympics due to an injury. She becomes a newbie editor at a weekly manga magazine's editorial department and tries to resurrect the sluggish industry with her perseverance and guts. In order to look convincing in her judo scenes, Kuroki has been undergoing intensive training since autumn last year.

Co-stars include Odagiri Jo, Sakaguchi Kentaro and Matsushige Yutaka.
