The song's not bad once you get used to it, and is quite catchy.

Both Ayase Haruka and Tamaki Hiroshi are good in the drama, but Fukushi Sota is terrible and the writing is uneven.

I find the song more pleasing than the drama after watching three episodes. The first episode got me quite riled up over some things but episode 2 and 3 were slightly better. Nonetheless, I think the story tends to be quite uneven in pacing. Some parts are too cliche. As for Fukushi, I guess his inexperience is quite obvious when pitted against Ayase and Tamaki so I think the chemistry between him and Ayase does seem lacking because of this.

Are you still watching this drama? It's frustrating for me because Tamaki gets so little screentime and his and Ayase's characters barely have any interaction, but their scenes are some of the best.

I dunno about Fukushi, he's got a few projects under his belt, but I have seen a couple of other actors around his age who can act better. Besides, this isn't a very difficult character to interpret, but he really only has a grand total of 2 expressions. I guess the uneven writing and pacing don't help, although I think a better actor would have been able to salvage some of it at least.

Hi junny,

Yes, in fact, I just finished watching this drama today. Well, I agree with you that there were too few scenes between Tamaki and Ayase but I found that despite this, their interaction and chemistry were so good that I was rooting for them to be together although it was near impossible. They had some pretty good conversations in the middle and later half of the drama so I think it's worth staying on for that at least.

As for Fukushi, his inexperience is especially glaring when you compare him to Tamaki. However, to give him some credit, he's still considered a pretty new name in showbiz and this is probably one of his meatier roles to date. I don't remember watching too many of his works in the past (only thing comes to mind was "Toshokan Sensou" which I didn't like because he's too different from the image of Tezuka). He didn't do a bad job but you could see that Ayase was the one pulling him along even though Fukushi's character Tanokura seemed to be the one dictating the pace and development of their relationship. In that sense, he's still got to do a lot more to impress me at least. Nonetheless, he may have garnered himself a lot of new female fans through this drama which is a good thing for him after all.

You know, your Chiaki name always reminds me of the good ol' senpai, hehe.

What did you think about the last episode? I was facepalming half the time because it was epic logic fail. I was also rooting for the Tamaki-Ayase pairing because of the chemistry even though I know they're not end game. I mean, he's awesome and makes so much sense! With him, she is herself and they are good together.

And I was still okay with Ayase-Fukushi, but omg the reason for that ending was beyond stupid. It makes Ayase's character even more pea-brain than she already is, and pretty much negates whatever growth she experienced. Jeez. It makes me feel like everyone else shouldn't have helped her at all if she was going to be this stupid. Bah. And yes, Ayase was totally carrying this dumb relationship because Fukushi was so blah, but even Ayase can't make epic logic fail work.

I would have found the ending a bit more palatable if Hanae and Tanokura had a clean break and fate brings them together again a few years down the road. It's quite impossible that the story will arrange for Hanae and Asao to be together anyway. For Hanae to wait for Tanokura to return is simply going back to square one and that makes the break-up redundant in the first place.

I agree with Asao and Hitomi's argument about finding someone who you can show your true self to rather than trying to be with someone who gives you that exciting feeling of passionate love. Too bad this logic probably doesn't work all the time in dramaland. And that's why Asao and Hanae will never end up together, much to our disappointment.

Agree with everything you said and that would have been a more suitable ending, but alas, good sense is not something easily available in this drama. Now that I've had time to digest the ending, I actually feel it's a good thing Hanae did not end up with Yu because she doesn't deserve him, he's too bloody awesome for her. I can't believe that everyone else made so much sense, but Hanae and Yuto are still the dumbest characters in the entire drama after all the help they got.

I loved Yu's proposal and the segment where Hanae imagined Yu doing all the things Yuto did (hot damn, Tamaki's kabedon!), but I still do not think Yu is the marrying kind, so I'm glad that in the end he focused on his restaurant business (which has a pretty dumb name, to be honest).

I did not like Hitomi for much of the drama's run, but in the last couple of episodes, she was much improved after she gave Kagami a chance and they're pretty adorable together. Their progress was a bit rushed, though.
