Oguri Shun to star in FujiTV's autumn 2014 drama "Nobunaga Concerto"

Oguri Shun will be taking on the lead role in the FujiTV 55th anniversary project "Nobunaga Concerto" which will begin with an anime in July, the real-life drama in autumn 2014 and end with a movie. The drama which is based on the same-titled manga by Ishii Ayumi, features Oguri as Saburo, a senior high school student who is weak in his studies and knows nothing about history but goes back into time accidentally and ends up aiming to unite the country by posing as Oda Nobunaga who looks the same as him but is too sick to do so. Oguri commented that he has been dying to take on the role of Nobunaga thus he is very excited about the project. Filming will begin in August.

Oguri admitted that he is concerned that his age (31 years old) will be evident when he stands beside his teenage co-stars in the scenes at school so that's probably the most dangerous part of this role (i.e. not looking like a senior high school student).
