Press conference of drama SP "SPEC ~ Keishicho Kouanbu Daigoka Misho Jiken Tokubetsu Taisaku Kakari Jikenbo ~ Zero"

Toda Erika and Kamiki Ryunosuke attended the press conference for their new drama SP "SPEC ~ Keishicho Kouanbu Daigoka Misho Jiken Tokubetsu Taisaku Kakari Jikenbo ~ Zero" on 12 August which will be the prequel to the last two movies in the SPEC series due to be shown from 1 November and 29 November. Toda revealed that when she decided to take on the role of Toma Saya in the first SPEC drama shown during autumn 2010, it was at a time when she wanted to expand the range of roles she played and hoped to get more freedom in making her own decisions. As a result, she got the freedom she wanted and developed a new way of thinking towards acting which helped her to uncover her potential and showed herself what she could achieve. Initially, she had thought that the story of SPEC was a slightly different type of detective story but she never realised how deep the story could go over the past three years. When asked about the possibility of further sequels in the SPEC series, Toda stated that the movies would be the last viewers would see of SPEC.

On the other hand, Kamiki also commented that he didn't think that SPEC would go on for so long and develop into so many SPs and movies. He felt that the scale of the story was greater than expected and he learnt a lot while working on this series.
