Celebratory event for movie "Nazotoki wa Dinner no ato de" crossing the 1-million cinema viewers mark

The celebratory event for movie "Nazotoki wa Dinner no ato de" crossing the 1-million cinema viewers mark was held at Cinema Mediage on 13 August which was attended by the cast members Sakurai Sho and Kitagawa Keiko. The movie which had begun screening on 3 August, achieved 1,079,492 visits and total ticket sales of JPY 1,261,820,000 in 10 days. Sakurai commented that although the staff members who had worked on the movie could not join them on stage to greet the audience, he hoped that the viewers would be able to feel their dedication for the film after watching it.

Regarding the nickname of the movie "Nazodi" which is widely known among fans, Sakurai sighed that he did not recognise that as the official nickname because he tried to say the full name every time when promoting the drama and movie. However, the nickname gained so much popularity that it even appeared on the movie's pamphlet which led Sakurai to jokingly complain that he didn't even want to let people know that Aiba was the mastermind behind the nickname. As this event was the last of the movie's promotional events, Sakurai called upon the audience to watch the movie multiple times.

On the other hand, Kitagawa also commented that the cast and crew had built up a strong relationship over the past two years and thanked the director and Sakurai for their hard work in making the movie a success.
